M.Sc. in Computer Science
Studies have shown the great difficulty involved in the use of standards focused on interoperability of Units of Learning approach used in distance teaching, computer mediated, Internet-connected. Several international organizations such as IMS, IEEE and ADL, are exhibiting an interest in collaborative work for the standardization of Distance Education, in an attempt to convergence of the variety of theories and applications in education. In regard to the Semantic Web-based Education was considered the model of the specification IMS Learning Design. One of the problems mentioned has been the development of appropriate Instructional Design standards for interoperability and reuse, independent of the learning environment through the use of metadata that allow characterization, management, tracking and matching systems. This work allowed the immersion in these two major fields of knowledge, Instructional Design and Learning Design, which formed the basis for the investigation and characterization of this Research. In this sense, it was proposed a Module of Management and the Accordance of Units of Learning based on IMS Learning Design Ontology built from the observations and interactions with the team for Distance Education Courses Professional Education of the State of Pernambuco -- Brazil, on the order of analyze the main specifications for the development of Units of Learning, on the issues of interoperability, reuse and adaptation of educational material. Based on the State of the Art, sought to implement an architecture that enabled the management, activities such as Planning, Production, Adoption and Accordance to IMS Learning Design specification, applied to compliance testing, and from the data obtained, the test system used all content found at fault, but also that the information free of faults, after the adoption of the specification.
